This weekend, for the first time, JRubyConf will be held in Europe, and we’re excited that not only one, but two, of our Burtlings will be there to speak!
JRubyConf EU will be held as part of the annual Eurucamp, where there’s also one more Burtling speaking. This year, Eurucamp will be taking place at a lake just outside of Berlin, and we’re all looking forward both to the conference and to all the activities on and around lake Müggelsee.
David will give a presentation called Gotcha! about JRuby performance issues that you perhaps didn’t know about and how you can work around them.
Also at JRubyConf, Theo will talk about concurrency and distributed systems, and everything we’ve learned since switching to JRuby about a year ago.
In the same spirit, but at the main Eurucamp conference, Urban will show how to use the power of idempotency to solve big data problems.
In the audience will also be Gustav and Joel, so if you would like to talk to us about big data, distributed systems, StarCraft, JRuby, swedish metal bands, or anything else that you might think of there will always be one of us close at hand.
See you there!
