New markets, more clients, tremendous ideas and all the big ambitions we have, take great minds to take on! A flow of new energy and forces is therefore a very welcome process.
This last weeks we’ve therefore welcomed Robin and Joel to join our forces.
Joel is not really that new of a face since he’s been around the office for the last couple of months working on his Master thesis and is now just switching a workplace and joining the Engineering team. We wouldn’t want to miss a talent like that, after doing a great job with his thesis work focusing on algorithms and machine learning (more on that in a coming separate post from Joel himself). According to a very accurate(!) personality test he could’ve been described by the character of Sheldon of the Big Bang Theory. How cool is that! Apart from the fact that he’s grown up on an island north of Gothenburg and is a snowboarder - doubt Sheldon likes that(!) - they are just identical.
If you think Joel, turning 25 this summer, is young than you might raise an eyebrow if I tell you that our new designer Robin can still be called a teenager with his 19! Don’t get fooled by his young age though - he did impress us, with his CV as well as personality.
Robins digital journey started off when as a kid, a friend of Robins built a site with an older brother - this was not only cool, it was legendary - and got Robin so excited that he wanted one as well. A website, that is=) Most of the after school time in the weeks to follow was spent on learning a Start Wars like language. But it didn’t stay with the HTML and CSS. Since sites just couldn’t look visually so horrible a first Adobe suite opened the door and started off the still ongoing process of designing. And he’s already put some magic into the visuals of our products!
According to Robin, no fancy cars or NYC apartments can replace siting in front of computer and designing. Lucky for us since we prefer to cycle or skate and spend most of the time in the Gothenburg or Stockholm offices for now:)
To confirm Robin (the skateboard master) and Joel (grill chef) actually do exist here’s a picture of them as well (you never know… it might’ve just been great Google photo-search skills).
