Looking to hire: BigData wizard

Burt is looking for an distributed computing and data storage engineer. You should love big data and cluster computing, especially in the context of solving large-scale, real-world problems that improve our core products. An interest in teaching and enabling coworkers with this technology is ideal. The ideal candidate will dream about distributed systems for the parallel processing of massive quantities of data, be familiar with Hadoop/Pig/HBase and MapReduce, and frequently think to themselves, “Yeah, that works for 500 MB of data; what about 500 TB?” This position is full-time and based in our main office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Working for a startup is fun and fast paced. If you haven’t experienced it before, it’s like no job you’ve ever had. If you’re full of energy you’ll quickly find that this is a wonderful place to let all that energy out. Our employees create their roles, instead of us creating them for them.

Umm. So you are looking for a: Database administrator, database developer, database analyst, a software engineer, a hardware engineer, a network engineer & technician & developer. ANd, you also need a soft- and hardware developer fluent in atleast 4 different languages. Together with that I'm guessing you need a good looking, young, highly trained and globally mentored speaker with an option to be able to lead a team of similar people?

    Good luck with that.

Do you want to discuss that or are you just being an ass? All our contacts are right here. Think you qualify? Let's talk then.

  3. pd0 says:

And yes. That's about it. :-)

Och eftersom du är Svensk så är din feedback värd mycket för oss. Jag pratar gärna. Mvh, john@burtcorp.com
