Between conferences we’ve spent the day on the road. We started the day with some Silicon Valley sightseeing: Visiting the HP garage, Standford University, the Googleplex and 1 infinite loop. You don’t get to have more fun if you’re a start-up geek.

Leaving Silicon Valley for a conference in San Diego we travelled along Highway 1. It’s a breathtaking coast.

It left us thinking a lot about the uniqueness of Silicon Valley and what are the driving forces behind it. We agree with Paul Graham: You need money, geeks, ideas and knowledge to create opportunity. A great climate and culture acts as a catalyst to all that.
